Prince of Peace School was opened in August, 2000. The school offers a Mother's Day Out, Preschool and Elementary through Middle School. Preschool - 3 and 4 year old children attend a 9-1 program. The preschool curriculum is embedded with art, music, Spanish, and creative movement. Children are prepared for elementary school through a hands-on approach incorporating imaginative play while developing their social skills. Pre-reading and math skills are taught through games, centers and individual instruction. Elementary - The elementary, five year old kindergarten through 5th grade students are challenged with an integrated core curriculum that enhances the individual strengths and abilities of all children. Art, music, Spanish, technology, library science, and physical education play a key role in the learning process. Students are actively engaged in lessons guided by the latest research and authentically assessed. Middle School - Middle school students, grades 6 through 8, receive a challenging, hands-on, stimulating academic curriculum within the ideal spiritual, intellectual, and social environment. They engage in three different scholar programs based on regional, American, and worldly perspectives. To help unify the middle school students, all students are sorted into one of three "Houses" through which they participate in weekly socially developmental and competitive activities. The house system, coupled with a positive discipline system and strong teaching staff, provide a learning environment where all students can thrive. Faith and character education unify the Prince of Peace Middle School Experience.
